10 Simple Ideas for your Elf on the Shelf

When the Elf on the Shelf first made it’s appearance on the shelves of local stores several years ago, I thought, “NO WAY, am I adding that to our Christmas chaos!” We made it through the first season without an Elf making his/her way into our home. But the following Christmas, a fun loving auntie gifted it to my kids. Oh, C**P! I thought, here we go. We (my husband and I) weren’t having very much fun with our new December visitor, but the kids loved it. Couldn’t wait to get out of bed to see where he’d “flown” to next. I really wanted our Elf to get lost on his way back from the North Pole that third season. Luckily for my kids, their dad took over this new tradition and made it really fun. I love that he’s taken it on and made it his own. I love not having to worrying about it or come up with ideas that will amuse our kids. Thank goodness for dads!
