This may be the very simplest way to create a beautiful centerpiece for any table, counter or entryway. I almost can’t believe how pretty this turns out every time. As long as you select healthy plants, the end result will always turn out simply gorgeous and effortless. Simple proof that table setting is as easy as 1-2-3.
Here’s the DIY:
- pick out 5 potted plants – I like odd numbered groupings (mine were from Trader Joe’s)
- unwrap them and take them out of their containers
- Loosen up their roots and soil and place together in a pretty vessel. done.
Here I have a few potted herbs and 2 potted begonias. I like the shape of this driftwood planter for centerpieces, mantles or countertops. It is not waterproof so I took one of the pieces of plastic wrap from the plants and used it to line the container. It works well enough to keep the soil where it belongs, but I bring it to the sink to water for draining.
I like using herbs because their gorgeous greens compliment colorful florals beautifully. Mint, oregano, and thyme all work well for this project. Just see what Trader Joe’s has available. The begonias happened to look lovely the day I was picking up supplies. I’ve seen beautiful primrose, spray roses, and hyacinth lately too. Give it a shot and send me a pic or tag me on instagram so I can see how gorgeous yours turned out!
