Between the stormy weather this weekend we had so much fun picking out our Christmas Tree, decorating, shopping, seeing Santa and so much Christmas cheer to start the month off right! The rain has been non-stop here in California lately. We timed it just right this weekend and found a break in the storm to head up to Skyline to find ourselves a Christmas tree.
And what a search it was! It is so beautiful up here. I love just been out here with my family. Here’s my middle daughter thinking about this cute little guy. There are 3 different types of trees up here on Skyline. And acres and acres to choose from. Even though no two trees are the same, they are all shaped so beautifully.
This guy can’t stand me in his face with my camera. But I caught him here! This was a beauty of a tree too. Part of the fun is hiking through the hills and rows and rows of trees with my 3 littles.
And dad of course too. Can’t forget the handsome guy that cuts and carries this years beloved Christmas tree.
Back at home…while the outside lights went up, the kids and I hung stockings, brought out our manger and decorated the ‘kids tree.’ I know, I’m a mean momma who likes to decorate her own tree and not do a family tree, but my kids ( & I ) are so much happier when they have free reign on their tree and I have a beauty in the living room to enjoy. This year my big guys decided that the littlest Matthews could have the tree in her room. So sweet.
We are all set! Advent Books wrapped!
New Christmas jammies are on.
The First Book of Christmas! Merry Christmas, Curious George.
And one VERY happy {though tired} momma with my littles snug around me.
I’d say we are off to a great start of the season.
