Whether you are a novice party thrower or you are the hostess with the mostess, I’m going to show you a few basics to set up the perfect simple bar for your next party.
* Start with a Liquor of choice. Choose from a vodka, gin, whiskey or brandy. I like to stick with a good vodka since it is more of a crowd pleaser and you can mix any number of easy cocktails with it.
* Add in your mixers. These could be a juice, a bubbly like soda or tonic, or a simple syrup
* Next, a pretty bucket for ice. Think outside of the well, bucket. Could be a wide vase, bowl, or even a pretty flower pot. {just make sure it has a bottom!}
* Now comes the fun part, glassware. Colorful glassware or something more traditional, whichever you prefer. Just be sure to have plenty of it. Guests are always putting theirs down and starting another.
* Fruit. Lemons and limes are most common and add a beautiful hit of color. With the holidays coming up this could easily be a bowl of cranberries or pomegranates too! Mix it up.
* Pretty napkins.
* Finish off your bar with a small bouquet of flowers and lovely scented candle and you are all set!
Build your bar in a common spot. This doesn’t need to be a big area and doesn’t have to be where you keep all you liquors regularly. Bar carts are so popular these days as room decor. A pretty tray or side table can do just the trick too!
Here are a few examples of pretty carts. All images are from my parties board on pintrest, check it out if you’d like.
Happy Friday! Have a cocktail and a lovely weekend!
Where did you find the gold rattan bar cart in the picture with the red chair and LV purse please? This is exactly what I am looking for!
thanks so much- LOVE YOUR SITE!!!!!!!
