Naked Cakes

Naked Cakes |The Simple Proof ChristmasNaked cakes. I have definitely been loving this trend in cake decorating. Not being one for much frosting it’s right up my alley. I love how natural and beautiful the cakes look with minimal frosting.  Why have we been covering them up all these years any way?

It’s become tradition for Christmas Eve to be at our house.  I love Christmas Eve. The excitement and anticipation is palpable.  This year, I’m planning to debut a naked cake. But which one of these beauties shall I try first?  With seasonal flavors like gingerbread, orange, almond and eggnog, I’m having a tough time deciding which one will have the honor of being our Christmas Eve dessert.  I’m craving an orange spice variation of one of these recipes. I’d love to use my first kumquats and white camilias of the season from my garden for garnish. I can’t possibly go wrong with one of these naked lovelies gracing our menu. Which one exactly, will be a difficult call.  Cast your vote below!
