I hope you are enjoying this week long series all about San Francisco! It’s one of my favorite topics. I love recommending my favorites to friends and readers. It’s also so much fun to discover new-to-me or newly opened spots in a city I have called home for so many years.
Cities by the nature of them attract foodies, especially San Francisco. People always want to know where are the best places to eat. It’s one of the first questions I ask when traveling to a new place. In San Francisco, this question is always on local and visitor’s minds. It’s a food scene pure and simple. I’ve been to most of these recommendations and the few I haven’t are high on my list to try as soon as possible. Here goes, 10 top picks!
Marlowe – SoMa, fresh, beautiful, delicious
Plow – Potrero Hill, best brunch ever
Outerlands – Outer Sunset cafe
Central Kitchen – Mission, fresh local California cuisine
Piccino – Dogpatch, modern Italian
Cotogna – Jackson Square, rustic Italian
Craftsman + Wolves – Mission, patisserie + cafe
Wayfare Tavern – Financial District, Traditional American
Giorgio’s – Inner Richmond, old school family pizzeria
The Mill – NoPa/Alamo Square, most instagrammed toast ev-a!
10 of my favorites and so many more to choose from. Try venturing away from Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39 where the guide books send all the visitors. There are so many amazing gems in every neighborhood, it’s hard to go wrong.
