I always have a hard time in September. I much prefer “Summer Mom.” She is more relaxed, less concerned, softer in a way. It takes me a while to embrace “Back to School Mom.” The irony is that my kids love being back to school, they transition smoothly from summer to school. I, however, miss having my kids and husband around, miss laughing and playing together, having time to linger over dinner outside and long for sleeping in and staying up late through the long days of summer.
BUT, by October, I’m good to go! Bring on Fall! The down side to this is when you live in California where it’s been 90+ degrees these past few days with no sign of dipping below 80 anytime soon. Those of you in cooler climates may be thinking “oh, how rough, another beautiful day in CA.” And it’s true, we have it very good here with amazing sunny days for much of the year. For me though, when I finally get out of my September slump, I’m ready for Fall to begin.
I was asked to do a post on Fall Style. I was flattered of course that someone thought I should, but it had me thinking, I’m still wearing a lot of my summer clothes.
Here’s what I’m loving for Fall, whenever it finally shows up in CA. Click over to my style board on Pintrest if you’d like to see more styles.

Here are the looks I’m loving and still wearing this fall in California;
Tees, tanks, skirts, + white denim.
Thank you. Yes, it’s well after Labor Day, but Gwenyth always inspires.
And a few ideas for how to put a touch of fall into a warm summer wardrobe while the temps are still too high for sweaters, long sleeves, + jackets
What are you wearing this fall??
