I’ve written about how much we enjoy Trick Dog here before. Their Pantone Drink Menu was unique and beautiful. Now they have a new drink menu out, The Record Album. I love how creative they are with these menus. The menu is in a photo album with each sleeve containing an old 45. The drinks are named after the vintage songs. So clever. Each 45 has a reproduced label to include the art form the original record label as well as the drink’s ingredients. Some that caught my eye were Louie Louie and Centerfold. The drinks this time around definitely have a tropical slant. The drink named Mr. Big Stuff came in a plastic pineapple. Ah, the irony!
We had been wanting to try the sister restaurant to Flour + Water, Central Kitchen in the Mission for a few months now. It was a great choice. The atmosphere was lively, but not too noisy and the servers were fantastic. My only regret is that I did not photograph anything past the amazing appetizer. I was too overwhelmed by how delicious each course was to remember. Hazard of the job! But I will say that we loved every bite. The real show stealer was this melon and cucumber salad. Every bite was a party in my mouth. Yes. I’m a foodie.
If you are looking for a fun night out, the one-two punch with Trick Dog and it’s neighbor Central Kitchen will win you over!
I LOVE Trick Dog!! Miss Scott from his days at the Hotsy Totsy over here in Albany. Haven’t been back since the new menu. Also, have yet to try Central Kitchen, but it looked like it had a great vibe. Can’t wait to revisit Trick Dog and grab a bite at CK.
while I thought the pantone menu was perfect, these guys really know how to mix a drink!
