Seattle is one of those cities that shows off in the summer and entices the world to move there only to find out there are 9 other months of the year. I know, I did it once. And yet, still find myself thinking about doing it again. So much has changed since I briefly lived in Seattle many years ago and so much remained the same. I have some beautiful shops and restaurants to share with you as well as things to do and places to hang out and relax. We had a fun few days exploring Seattle this summer and with so much natural beauty nearby, I imagine we will be back on another adventure in the state of Washington soon.

It was a welcome departure from our days of hiking and taking in the outdoors in the Pacific Northwest to spend some time getting acquainted with Seattle. I loved showing my family around to a few of my old favorites and finding new ones too. We are incredibly fortunate to have generous people in our lives that helped to make our time in The Emerald City truly wonderful. We stayed in a friend’s lovely apartment and were treated my another dear friend to a fun day out at Safeco field. Thank you also for the inspiration Aran Goyoaga, food blogger, cookbook writer and photographer extraordinaire for the yummy recommendations. I love watching my children explore cities with the same enthusiasm that they explore the great outdoors. They are becoming amazing little travelers equally comfortable hailing a cab as they are on the trail.

Pinning this for future reference. My dad recently moved back to Washington, so we’ll be spending a lot more time there over the next few years. And that photo of your kids is so cute! 🙂
Definitely have bookmarked this for future reference as we are taking up trip to the Pacific Northwest this summer! Great info and tips! Love it all 🙂
