On the Menu Board
I’ve mentioned to you before that the look of this site is going to be changing in the coming weeks. Along with that I’m working hard to make sure content is more easily accessed. This will include a better way to navigate recipes and menus. You all know I’m a huge proponent of The Weekly Shop. I like to set a menu and while we don’t always stick to it, I find it really helps cut down on time, money, stress and waste to know what is on the menu. Some content you can expect to see more often are my menu boards that I frequently post on instagram. I link to recipes where possible. I love to cook and often don’t use a recipe, but will always try to find something close. I can’t recommend enough, setting aside time to make a sketch of your week, considering late nights or dinners on the go. Then turn this into your shopping list. And if you really want to simplify things, add that shopping list right onto an online shopper app like instacart and let them do the shopping for you while you play a game of backgammon with your 11 year old, for example! Menu ideas for winter, spring, summer and fall. The Simple Proof Pinterest boards are full of recipes, most of which we’ve tried and enjoyed!
I’ve included some past menus below to get you started with your menu planning this week! Where do you all find menu inspiration? I find I go in phases where it’s easier than other times. I always come back to creating a weekly menu though. It really helps me when the evenings are busy during the week and helps me get through the grocery store quicker too. Just looking through some of these menus, I’m getting inspiration for this busy end of the year season upon us.
