The Festive Table

The Simple ProofI have been thinking about summer camps for my kiddos lately.  We don’t do very many since we aren’t home much during the summer months.  I typically send my older two to a sleep away camp or trip while my youngest and I spend a week together somewhere.  The other week of camp is often reserved for something outside the school year norm.  I believe in summer looking as different from the busy scheduled life of the school year as feasibly possible for your family.  Last summer my girls had the best time at the cooking camp, The Festive Table.

To be 100% transparent here, this lovely day camp for boys and girls ages 5-18 is run by my dear friend Michelle.  She is the mastermind behind The Festive Table.  She welcomes kids of all ages to her classes.  She carefully curates a menu and theme that is age appropriate, thoughtful and of course, delicious!  My girls came home with a week’s worth of recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with creative items like Berry Enchiladas, Frittata and Focaccia, and easy kid-friendly snacks like Cinnamon Crisps.  She also has classes specifically for middle school boys, high schoolers going off to college, and grade school kids that inspire kids of all sorts to get cooking!  It is my pleasure to share with you, The Festive Table.  Michelle’s heart goes into everything she does.  Your kids will love their time spent in her kitchen.

What are some summer camps your kids enjoy?  Do they show more interest in camps that support their school year activities or different interests altogether?  I’d love to hear about them, especially if they are local to the SF Bay Area or Lake Tahoe Area!
