Before I show you this super simple way to organize your scarves, I want to start by saying that the whole goal of A Bowl Full of Simple is to inspire you to try simple recipes, simple style ideas + simple organizational ideas to make your family and home life healthy, beautiful and well, simplified. Someone mentioned to me the other day that they were depressed after reading something here becuase they felt they were so unorganized and could never do what I do. I felt it was time to say something about A Bowl Full of Simple. I want this to be a place that inspires simple change. I do not post about complicated strategies, recipes or ideas. You will not find me spending hours making a wreath for my front door for every holiday of the year. I have thousands of photos waiting for my attention on my hard drive. I also happen to feed my kids bacon ALL the time! This is not a perfect place. I have tried all these ideas myself, the recipes have been on my family’s table, and the projects are completed in my home where I live with my 3 kids, hubby, beloved dog and 2 fish. It’s a busy place. Organizing makes it a lot less hectic!
With all that said, I finally came up with a solution for what to do with all my scarves! I had tried baskets, shelves, and they’ve even lived on my closet floor for a while so it was high time to corral them somehow. I prefer a useful and pretty approach. I don’t have any wall space in my closet so the next best thing was the wall behind my bedroom door. I hope this simple idea makes your life a little simpler too.
This is how I {we} tackled it.
I saw something similar on Pintrest.
I went to the hardware store to buy a very inexpensive towel rod
I asked my hubby to install it.
Done. Scarves hung, happy + ready for me to grab.
Great idea – love it!!!
