a bowl full of simple

Happy 1st Anniversay

a bowl full of simple

Wow!  I can’t believe it’s already been a full year since my first post on Father’s Day 2012.  I really had no expectations for how well A Bowl Full of Simple would be received.  I wasn’t going to be surprised if it was my mom, my dad, and my husband my only audience.  My welcome to this tiny corner of the world wide web has been tremendous.  So much more than I could have asked for in 365 days.  I’ve met some wonderful people, blogs and teachers themselves, as well as new readers {thank you!}, and partnered with inspiring and entrepreneurial women over the past year.  I am about to attend my first blog conference, I’ve learned new things from photography to photo styling to how to create a ‘pin it’ button!  Thank goodness too.  When I look back at some of those early posts I wince and am tempted to delete them.  I never do though, as one needs to remember where you started.  Everyone starts of as a beginner at some point.  12 months ago, I did not have a twitter account, had never been on Facebook, and did not understand the Pinterest craze at.all.  From where I stand, it’s been a pretty fantastic year full of an unexpected but truly appreciated welcome to blogsphere!

Some stats for which I am incredibly grateful:

Unique Visitors: 10,000+

Pageviews: 37,000+

Readers from 103 countries!

Facebook Likes: 156

Pinterest Followers: 128

Blog Subscribers: 33

The stat that really blows my mind is 170 Blog Posts.  That means on average, I’ve been publishing a post every 2 days!  If you are a blogger out there, you can attest to how much work that can mean.  So worth it!  I’ve enjoyed the ride and couldn’t have done it without the support of readers and friends like you all.  The next 6 months are going to bring some changes to the look of the site, but without any changes to content.  I write about what I know and what is important to me.  I’ve heard from so many of you about your favorite posts or ones that have helped you with a solution, given you a fresh idea for dinner, or thoughts about motherhood.  And let’s face it, sometimes it really does just boil right down to a pair of pretty shoes.

Keep reading my friends, spread the good word and Keep it simple!
