Hiking is one of my most favorite things to do and lucky for me living in California, there is always a trail to discover.  The hike from Muir Woods to Stinson Beach is especially spectacular.  I love the mix of terrain you traverse as you walk through Muir Woods up to the summit and down through the valley overlooking the coast.  The first time I did this hike many years ago was for a friend’s birthday, it was such a fun day. Nothing feeds my soul like long walks and good conversation with women I adore.  Fast forward years later, this time I was able to capture our trek with my camera and share here with all of you.  I hope this inspires you to find a trail near you to share with those you love.  And if you are in San Francisco and haven’t done the Dipsea Trail from Muir Woods to Stinson Beach, you don’t know what you are missing.  Go now!

  1. Hey lady. Miss you. Beautiful photos, although nothing captures the real thing like being there to see the real thing. Jim and I did this on one of our first dates and his hiking boots literally fell apart. The soles had oxidized or something and were coming off in chunks. Funniest thing ever but he toughed it out and we made it back to Muir Woods. It was an endearing feat so I married him.
