Every year about this time, I start to get the cravings for rhubarb. It reminds me of my grandmother and summertime. Its pretty long colorful stalks with their variegated reds and greens make for the loveliest tarts. The fruit on its own can be slightly bitter, but when combined with berries or other sweetness, its flavor shines.
