Travel Light

The Challenge: Can you fit 3 days and 2 nights into an overnight bag?

The Answer: YES!

It’s no secret that I love to travel light.  I actually have a weird obsession with it.  I pride myself on taking the fewest amount of items with me whenever I travel.  I’m not one to pass up a good challenge especially when we are talking about the serious subject of traveling light.  It can be connected with the same thinking behind wanting to pare down my wardrobe for a clutter-free stress-free environment whenever I get dressed.  It’s about combining clothing to mix and match, taking day-time to evening and owning fewer better items that make you feel great every time you put them on!

Travel LightSo here was my challenge on a recent trip – pack for 2 nights and 3 days in an overnight bag and not miss a thing.  Sounds like a bit of a challenge, but i’m always up for a little self-competition. When this beautiful overnighter arrived from Birdling Bags, I opened the box and immediately thought, uh-oh, I may not be able to pull this one off.  This bag looks way to small for 3 days.  On the contrary, I packed for 3 days and 2 nights including toilettries, 3 pairs of shoes, laptop, hardcover book, electronics and even my in flight salad with plenty of room to pick up a little something while traveling.  In the end, it was a cinch, with room to spare I might add.
